Personal Trainer Bio/ Background
Lea is
a
Personal Trainer in Ponte Vedra and
also a
Personal Trainer in Jacksonville and the surrounding areas.
Lea currently holds her Master’s and
Bachelor’s Degrees in Kinesiological
Sciences (The study of movement of the
human body) from the University of
Maryland, College Park.
While she grew up in the Washington, DC
are, she was a nationally ranked swimmer
and a ballerina (at the same time!) for
13 years. During her undergraduate and
graduate studies, she had the
opportunity to work with elite
professional and Olympic athletes
regarding her strength and conditioning
training background.
She was the first women to work with
such elite athletes and presented at
many national fitness conferences on
strength training, psychology of sport
and exercise, and aerobic dance. She
then began her own personal training
business where she traveled to homes and
gyms. She prides herself with her
personal approach to fitness; she
believes everyone has different needs,
fitness and nutritional goals to meet.
She has a strong background in nutrition
and has transformed many clients, both
physically and mentally, over the last
15 years. Lea practices what she
preaches and knows what works for
certain people and what doesn’t. She is
currently 40 years old with 11% body fat
(even after a son!)
Lea is very excited to have moved with
her third grade son, Ben, to Saint
Augustine and enjoys all the water
sports; including surfing. She is very
anxious to do some more outside training
and water training depending on what YOU
want! She also utilizes her dance
background to incorporate Pilates,
aerobics, yoga, hip-hop and any other
dance you can think off into her
workouts as a
Florida Personal Trainer
Lea has been a featured guest on a
nationally syndicated radio talk show
and is in numerous aerobic dance videos
that have been highlighted on TV. Lea
is a people person and an unbelievable
motivator. She loves what she does and
wants to share the benefits of being fit
with everyone! She believes it’s never
too late or undoable; no matter what the
situation. Her former personal training
clients have been extremely successful
and happy with all that Lea has taught
them. She can’t wait to start training
again!
